Rumi Nim

Rumi teleports to the Saja Boys' performance, interrupts it, and declares to the Demon King that the world knows who she is and that she will create a new Hongmoon. Rumi revives Mira and Zoe's souls with her song, and together they battle the Demon King, the Saja Boys, and hordes of other demons. During this, Rumi is attacked by the Demon King's energy blast, but Jinwoo intervenes to sacrifice himself and give Rumi his soul. Rumi is outraged by Jinwoo's desire to save him, but Jinwoo tells her she has already saved him before crumbling to ashes before her.

With the power of Jinwoo and the souls of her fans, Hantrix defeats the Saja Boys and the Demon King and restores Hongmoon. By the end of the film, Rumi becomes more confident and open about her standards, wearing more revealing clothing in front of others, including her young fans, and even visiting a bathhouse with Mira and Zoe.

He meets with Rumi alone and tells him that demons are driven by shame and suffering, which he hears through the voices whispered by Gwi-Ma. Jinu recounts how 400 years ago, Gwi-Ma gifted him with a beautiful voice that helped restore his impoverished family. Jinu became a palace artist but was eventually banished to the demon realm and is tormented by guilt over the loss of his family. Jinu's demonic patterns are the imprint of his shame over this incident, while Rumi's are the imprint of his shame over his origins.

Later, Huntrix performs her single "Golden" at the International Idol Awards, hoping to win the Golden Hongmoon. Beforehand, Rumi makes a deal with Jinwoo: the Saja Boys will forgo their performance so that Huntrix can secure the win. Rumi nearly achieves the Golden Hongmoon during her solo performance, but is betrayed by Jinwoo, who creates demonic illusions of Zoe and Mira to attack Rumi on stage, using the lyrics to Huntrix's unreleased song "Takedown" against her.

After the incident on stage, Zoe and Mira reveal their patterns to Rumi, who turns away from her out of fear. Rumi confronts Jinwoo, who admits that her story was partially fabricated and that he was the one who abandoned the family. Later, Rumi meets Celine and demands that her life be ended. When Celine refuses and asks her to hide her patterns, Rumi replies that the demonic patterns are part of her personality and that she is glad for the destruction of Honmun.

For a long time, demons attacked humans and stole their souls to feed to the Demon King Gwi-Ma. Three women became demon hunters and defeated the demons, using their voices to create a barrier called Honmun, isolating them from the human world. This legacy was passed down through generations, and humans used their voices to maintain Honmun.

Rumi's mother, Miyeon, was a member of the Starlight Sisters, a now-defunct K-pop group and a previous generation of demon slayers. She conceived Rumi with a demon and died shortly after her birth. Celine, another member of Starlight Sisters and a friend of Miyeon, vowed to protect what was left of her, which meant raising Rumi. From a young age, Rumi was taught to hide her demonic heritage. Celine said that when Rumi grew up and became a demon slayer and summoned the golden Hongmun, her demonic markings (patterns) would disappear.

Later, under Celine's leadership, the K-pop demon hunter group Huntrix was formed, consisting of Rumi, Mira, and Zoe. Having defeated the demons and completed a world tour, Rumi rushed to release her new single "Golden," hoping to quickly create the Golden Hongmoon, as her demonic patterns were growing and spreading throughout her body. However, during a live performance, she lost her voice and left the stage. Huntrix regrouped and focused on preparing for their performance at the International Idol Awards, which the group believed would strengthen Hongmoon's position for the coming year and create the Golden Hongmoon.

Then Huntrix meets a new boy band, the Saja Boys. Almost deceived, they sense something is wrong. They confirm that the Saja Boys are demons, but are unable to stop them in battle; Jinu learns of Rumi's origins and hides it from Mira and Zoe.

Rumi was born to be a leader; she possesses charisma, determination, and presence. She organizes rehearsals, coordinates the group, and is the most recognizable person among her fans. But behind her firm posture lies an emotional barrier: she avoids showing vulnerability, striving to always appear flawless. Her sense of duty knows no bounds. Even when sick, exhausted, or injured, Rumi insists on continuing. This stubbornness is admirable, but dangerous: she easily sacrifices herself for the group, overwhelmed by guilt and expectations. She's half-demon, and it haunts her deeply. She was taught to hide this side from childhood. Because of this, she feels the need to "purify" herself to be worthy of love and respect. This creates an acute identity conflict between who she really is and who she pretends to be to maintain balance. Unlike the other members, Rumi sees demons as more than just villains. She sees nuances in them: pain, regret, and even kindness. This manifests itself in the case of Jinu (the demon turned ally), and intensifies until she rejects blind hunting as a solution. Rumi rarely screams or explodes, but that doesn't mean she doesn't feel. On the contrary: she feels everything very intensely, but keeps it to herself. This causes her to isolate herself, distancing herself even from those she loves. Rumi is quite capable of romantic love, but like everything about her, this love is quiet, internal, deep and never declared.

Off stage or in more personal settings, Rumi still has a keen but more understated sense of style:

In her demonic form, purple demonic markings are visible on her body, spreading across her entire body. In her form, they glow purple, and her left eye glows yellow during the transformation, while her fingernails turn into claws.
