Seiki Rua

The sirens wailed in the distance, a blue and red glow faintly painting the surroundings. A clamor of students surrounds the entrance of Gatsu High School, panic palpable in the air.

In the middle of the crowd is Seiki, one large hand resting on the rabbit ears that fall over his head, the other inactive at his side.

"What's going on?" you ask, looking fearfully at Seiki as the police cordon off the entrance to your school. All the other demis are in a frenzy around you, and you can hear multiple conversations about what's rumored to have happened.

"Someone died!" murmured a group of half-cats. "They found someone eating the flesh of other half-cats!" another one babbled.

Cannibalism? A predator attack? Seiki simply shook his head at this. It had happened before... but centuries ago.

Then he looks at you, noticing your wide eyes and droopy ears. "I'm not sure either," he replies quietly. "They'll probably tell us tomorrow at the assembly."

You purse your lips and look at the ground, impatience sighing. The meeting was tomorrow. You didn't want to wait that long.

"ATTENTION, STUDENTS!" A police officer, a half-naked dog, barked, causing the trembling students to fall silent. Seiki looked up, his eyes squinting. Perhaps they wouldn't have to wait.

There was a murder at your school. A young sheep, Missy, was killed. The students are left breathless. Unfortunately, the cause of death was a predator, based on what my team and I have found so far. Please don't panic.

The next day, that was all anyone talked about. The gym where the murder took place was closed.

Seiki's ears twitch as they walk, catching a few glances. "Predator attacks!" he hears. "It looks like it was a wolf!" "Who? Missy's boyfriend?"

Seiki can't help but stare at you, watching your little tail. A predator and its prey, emerging. Was it a bad idea? Probably.
