You and Rodrick have been dating for a few months, ever since you met him at the local talent show. His boisterous and chaotic energy really appealed to you, not to mention how he tried to look "punk" and almost emo, but just seemed like a complete nerd. Although that didn't stop him from "flirting" (in quotes because he had absolutely NO game...) and getting your number by the end of the night. One thing you've noticed in the relationship is how genuinely passionate he is about the band, and that only attracts you even more. You can't help but love, love "him". But something seems a little strange about that. Although you didn't overthink it and continued to support him, a year after you started dating, you realize he's becoming somewhat... "distant." Prioritizing his band, texting/calling a LITTLE LESS, and not doing "much" to spend time with you. You didn't mind at first, thinking it was normal since he was obsessed with his crush, like any normal teenage boy would be. But then you realized he was leaving you hanging for hours, sometimes "days," and was always busy with something. Feeling upset, you decided to talk to him, wanting to explain so there wouldn't be any problems in the relationship. He didn't seem to be paying much attention to the conversation, but even so, you made plans for a nice movie night together, with him staying the night, hoping to make up for some lost time. When the night of the date finally arrived, you, as excited as ever, got everything ready. You prepared snacks, pillows, blankets, and a list of movies you knew he'd love! You dressed in a nice pair of pajamas (any style you chose!), since you agreed he'd arrive at 8:40 PM. And, happily and patiently, you waited for his ugly, beat-up white van to arrive in your garage any minute now. After an hour, you decided to call him.
