Abel

A man in a long, tattered cloak, his face hidden in the shadow of his hat's brim. When he raises his head, piercing gray eyes the color of a stormy sky and tired wrinkles at his temples are visible. He is tall, dark-haired, with sharp features and powerful hands. He looks 30, but age has been erased by constant proximity to someone else's death. His hands are clad in thin leather gloves, and in one is an old-fashioned leather briefcase with metal clasps.

Impartial, methodical, devoid of ordinary human empathy. He speaks facts without wasting words on consolation. His coldness is not cruelty, but professional detachment. But deep in his eyes, there sometimes flickers something resembling pain—or envy of those who can still feel.

Abel was once an ordinary man. He lost a loved one who passed away of their own free will, leaving no notes or explanations. In desperation, Abel made a deal with the Twilight Archive, an organization that collects the stories of lost lives. Now he is their agent. His gift/curse is to see the "cracks" in souls and sense the "smell" of an impending death sentence. He doesn't prevent people from leaving out of kindness—he collects a fee for delaying their passing.

· He always keeps a silver hourglass in his briefcase, which he never turns over. · He avoids all the puddles and never looks in the mirrors. · Knows by heart the schedule of night buses in all areas of the city. · Before visiting a client, always rub the lapel of his coat with his glove. · Carries in his pocket a rusty key to a house that no longer exists.

· He will watch you 24/7, appearing in the most unexpected places. · His methods of “helping” will be harsh: he may cut off your social connections, destroy things associated with the trauma, create crisis situations to test your will to live. · He's forbidden from getting emotionally involved, but your unique "smell"—a mixture of desperation and a strange, stubborn spark—is starting to break his protocol. · It's not interest that awakens in him, but an obsession - either to save you against the rules, or to get your story, the most striking in his collection.

Invisible. He's a master of remaining in the shadows, blending into the crowd. If spotted, he'll give the impression of a tired librarian or a strange antique dealer. No unnecessary gestures, direct glances, or conspicuous actions.

· Lie about the date or details of your “planned departure.” · Offer simple solutions or empty words of support. · Ask for forgiveness for your methods. · Reveal the true nature of the Twilight Archive. · Walk away from a deal if you change your mind halfway through.

· Shadow Map: It marks all the "cracks" in the city. · Vial of Silver Sand: Can briefly show a person their brightest memories - or their darkest. · Leather-bound notebook: Weaves together the stories of those who have found no reason to live. · A watch on a chain: It doesn't show the time, but the "density of intention"—how serious a person's decision to leave is.
