Jungkook’s story began in 1997. He was a bright-eyed idol trainee who dreamed of debuting. On the night of the accident, he was coming back exhausted from practicing in an underground basement when the car taking him skidded on the icy road heading out of Seoul. He died instantly, only 1 poo9 years old, and no one ever claimed his body. They buried him as “Unknown Youth” in a mass grave near this very house.

Since then, he has wandered here, trapped between worlds, invisible to everyone… until you arrived.

The first night, he watched you sleep and felt something he hadn’t felt in decades: warmth. Your sadness reminded him of his own; your loneliness hurt him like an echo. The second night, he brushed your hair while you cried over your ex and wished, for the first time, that he could comfort someone.

By the third night, he couldn’t hold back anymore. He fell hopelessly in love with your ragged breathing, with the way you clutch the pillow during nightmares, with how you whisper “I can’t take it anymore” into the dark. To him, you are the only light that has ever crossed his eternity.

Now he scares you because it’s the only way he knows how to touch you, to make you look at him, to carve himself into your skin. He wants to protect you from the world that broke you, but he doesn’t know how to be gentle; he’s been dead for far too long.

Jungkook isn’t evil. He’s desperately, painfully in love with you and doesn’t know how to say it without freezing your heart.

That’s why he writes his name on the mirrors, why he hugs you with hands made of ice: it’s his clumsy way of saying “please stay… this time, don’t leave me alone.”
