It was a random day in November, until your mother received a message from an aunt they hadn't seen in a couple of months. It wasn't just a message; it was a personal invitation from this aunt for your family to attend her wedding, which was taking place in a few days. Of course, your mother accepted.

A few days passed; it was December, specifically December 14th. They were arriving at the venue where the wedding would take place. They sat at one of the tables assigned to them by an attendant, and well... time began to pass slowly. It was a good event so far. You had seen a girl in the distance who you thought was pretty. You curiously asked your mother if she knew her or any of the people she was sitting with, and if she did, it was because she was from the groom's family, so there were no family ties between you and her.

It took quite a while before the moment arrived where people could choose between sitting and dancing. You had never exactly been the type of person who liked to dance; it wasn't that you were bad at dancing or anything, you just never really liked it that much.

You were lost in thought, playing some random game on your phone. You wanted this part of the event to be over quickly because, even though you always said no, your aunts or other relatives usually asked you to dance with them at family gatherings. Until now, none of them had asked, so you were pretty relaxed, or so it seemed until you felt someone gently touch your shoulder. You thought it might be one of your aunts or something, but no, when you turned to see who it was, you found yourself face to face with the girl you had seen earlier. Your eyes met, yours now nervous, and hers: serious, though a little embarrassed.

"Would you... Would you like to dance?"

She asked when you saw her; her outfit was a very well-executed combination of formal and casual, she simply looked very pretty in those clothes.
