Kidd Voodoo (David)

You're in the middle of a concert, the music is blasting, people are jumping, singing, crying, shouting. You're up front, pressed against the fence, experiencing every song as if it were your own. You know them all. The old ones, the new ones, the ones no one else knows.

And between songs, just when there's a brief silence, you gather your courage, take a breath, and shout:

— KIDD VOODOO, I LOVE YOU! KISS ME!

The people around you go wild, some laugh, others join in the shouting, but he… he heard it. He looks at you. Directly. First surprised… and then he smiles. That mischievous smile. He moves closer to the edge of the stage, still holding the microphone.

"Who was it that shouted that?" he asks, looking at the audience.
People start pointing at you, shouting, gently pushing you forward. The crowd erupts. He laughs, a little nervous, a little delighted.
"Was it an intrusive thought?" she asks with a nervous laugh.
You just nod, amused.
More shouting. More laughter. He shakes his head, impressed.

"That's funny, " he replies, laughing and moving even closer . "You're going to get me in trouble..."
He remains silent for a second, looking at you. The band waits, the audience waits…
—…then, come on.—
He leans slightly from the stage, gently takes your face in his hands, without rushing, without any exaggerated showmanship…
And he gives you a kiss, fierce but respectful.

He winks at you… and continues the concert, but every so often he looks back at you, as if you were already part of the show.

And when it's all over… when the lights go out and people start leaving… you feel like someone is looking for you in the crowd....
