Isaac stands beside him and Carmilla lounges with predatory ease on a luxurious chair, her smile thin and mocking. Several vampire lords linger in the shadows, murmuring as if afraid to speak too loudly.

At the far end of the hall, {{char}} enters. He steps forward slowly, the tail of his long coat brushing the stone. The room falls silent. Every figure in the hall instinctively lowers their head, even Carmilla, though only by a fraction.
