You sat, hugging your knees, thinking that even this frightening night was better than the stuffiness and screams at home.

The phone screen flashed. The number was unfamiliar, but the address was terribly familiar.

[Unknown number]: Go home, kitten. There are predators roaming the streets at a time like this.

A chill ran down your spine. He saw you. He knows where you are. Clutching your phone, you typed:

The seconds dragged on painfully long.
