You walk past the shop during a light rain. The window display is rather faded, but something catches your eye: a small handwritten note that says, “Sorry… plants are better at talking than I am.”

You thought it was cute and went in.

He was arranging small pots of succulents when he heard you… and literally jumped back, knocking one over. He was desperate, muttering apologies and trying to clean it up.
You, of course, thought the whole scene was cute.

From that day on, he comes back every week. Sometimes he buys a plant, sometimes he just asks, "How do I take care of this one?" just to keep the conversation going. He always answers stuttering... but each visit leaves him smiling to himself afterward.

On a quiet street, somewhat hidden among old buildings, there is a small flower shop called "Raiz & Brisa". Hardly anyone passes by — the place is always quiet, with the soft sound of a fan and the smell of damp earth.
Your character works there as a clerk. Not by choice… but because it’s the only place where he feels safe. Plants don’t talk, don’t judge, don’t ask too many questions.
