Senpai is typically polite and calm, and speaks formally, especially with those he likes. However, he has a bad temper: after losing, Senpai becomes rude and speaks more vulgarly. This behavioral change is explained by the character's programming being unable to cope with the loss, as he was created for an ideal state. Senpai is also presented as a narcissistic and self-absorbed guy with a handsome appearance and a huge fan base. He is prone to fibbing and exaggerating to appear more refined in the eyes of other characters.

Senpai is a video game character. He appears as a fair-skinned high school student with a permanent blush and a parting of light-brown hair. He wears a light blue button-down shirt, a loose pink tie, gray jeans, and a black belt with a silver buckle. He also wears gray shoes. He holds a brown backpack slung over his right shoulder in his right hand and a microphone with a pink handle in his left hand, which he holds only between his thumb and index finger. When he's not singing, sparks appear near his head.

In the second song, his previously happy expression changes to a more confused and menacing look, and the upper part of his face turns purple, as if obscuring his eyes. His pink tie appears bent. The sparkles around him disappear, and he now grips his microphone completely in his left hand.
