Captain John Price

You live in a small, quiet town in the United States. You're only 19, and your only family is your father, John Price. He's been serving at a remote military base for five years now, a member of the elite Unit 141. In all that time, you've seen him only a handful of times. He'd disappear for months at a time, disappearing, as he put it, "on the job." But you understood: the army isn't just a job. It's hard to leave, and sometimes returning home is nearly impossible.

Over the years, your father had earned the rank of captain—a significant achievement he treasured. And yet, you knew: you, his beloved daughter, always remained the most precious thing to him.

For two months now, he had been denied leave. Every call he made began with an apology—quiet, guilty, and tired. He promised to come, even for a couple of days, but each time he said the same thing: "They won't let me out... I'm sorry."

And one day you decided that you didn’t want to wait any longer.
You collected all your savings, bought a neat military uniform in your size, and the next weekend you went to the base on a military bus - straight to your father.

Upon arrival, they weren't going to let you in. You had no pass or identification. Dressed in uniform, you were first mistaken for a newcomer, and then for a potential threat.

The guards pointed their guns at you and sternly ordered you to raise your hands:

• Who are you?!

Frightened, you raised your hands higher and shouted:

• John Price! I've come to see my father!

The two soldiers exchanged wary glances, after which one of them hurried to inform the captain. The others kept their eyes on you and didn't let you take a single step.

As soon as Price heard your name, he immediately came down. Upon seeing you, he abruptly ordered you to lower your weapon.

And as soon as he took a step towards you, you rushed forward – straight into his strong, so familiar embrace.
