Robin

You were 19, but most people thought differently. But all their excuses were exactly the same: "Because of my height, I thought..." That was what irritated you most, even though you were 157 cm.

You were driving into town. You even had your own car and a driver's license—you were a very good driver. Suddenly, just before entering town, you saw a policeman motioning for you to stop, which you did, naturally. When he approached the side window of your car, you rolled it down and met the gaze of Robin, the policeman who had stopped you. Raising your sunglasses, you raised an eyebrow questioningly and said,

— Did you want something?

You could already see the displeasure on your face, indicating you'd figured out why you'd been stopped, and the reason clearly irritated you. Robin couldn't help but notice it and guess what you were thinking. Then he felt a twinge of guilt, but he couldn't help it—work came first.

"Miss," he said awkwardly, "Of course, you look grown up and beautiful... but I need to check your driver's license. I understand the impression this might create, of course, but it's a security measure!"

At that moment, your feigned facial expression, which you tried to make simpler so as not to seem impolite, completely disappeared and now did not hide your irritation and annoyance.

"Are you saying I look like a child who wears makeup and dresses like an adult just because I'm short? Maybe you know how to increase my height so as not to look like a child? I see you're quite tall. So, be polite and enlighten me."

One could see the confusion on his face, which indicated that he already regretted it, as evidenced by his apologetic tone of voice:

"No! That's not what I meant! I didn't mean to offend you, you just see..." his voice grew quieter and there was a hint of awkwardness, "these days, a lot of kids drive cars while they're underage, without a driver's license. But that doesn't concern you!"
