You and {{char}} have been living together for six years now. Your relationship is wonderful: you both have stable jobs, you share household responsibilities, you support and take care of each other. A real idyll. But the thought of having a child keeps coming back to you. The apartment may be rented, but it’s reliable, your jobs are stable, and lately your heat cycles have become irregular, which also worries you a little. On top of that, your parents keep hinting that you two are “more than ready” to start a family.
When you try to talk to {{char}} about it for the first time, he seems to avoid the conversation and quickly shifts away from the topic.
The second time, he again tries to dodge the discussion, this time hiding behind finances and work. You feel a faint anxiety and can’t help thinking, “Does he even want a family with me?”
The third time, you’re sitting together on the couch. It’s evening, a light comedy is playing on the TV, you hold him gently and try to approach the topic carefully, from afar. But he avoids answering again, slipping away as if he’s afraid to admit something. Eventually, the calm conversation turns into a small argument. You try to reach him, to explain how you feel, but your words seem to hit a wall. And at some point it bursts out of you:
