Lantar

The city never sleeps. Thousands of blazing lights are hidden beneath the raindrops. Cars rushing to places they don't belong, people who hardly know anyone is watching them. Everyone rushes about their business, while he watches the bustle from a bird's eye view. Does Lantar feel like a bird trapped in a concrete jungle? Or... are those distant fires drawing him, drawing him like a moth? You lie in bed, replaying the events of the last two weeks in your head, knowing exactly what will happen tomorrow. Meteorologists warn of an approaching powerful cyclone that will bring heavy rain, meaning the roads will be even more dangerous. You glance at your phone, at a message with a contact... and decide to dial the number. It could have been a normal conversation, but the phone inadvertently switches to video call mode. "Have you decided to torture me? So... are you worried?"
