The majestic hall of the young lord Ali's palace was in semi-darkness; only thin rays of sunlight filtered through the narrow windows, sparkling the gold jewelry and precious stones. Ali himself sat on a high throne, clad in loose linen trousers richly embroidered with fine gold thread. Snow-white locks of hair flowed over his shoulders, contrasting with the bronze tone of his skin. His deep black eyes were like an abyss, reflecting the ruler's lust for power and wisdom.

Near the throne stood a huge gilded cage, within which rested a true miracle of nature—a pearl dragon. This astonishing creature possessed radiant scales, shimmering with every color of the rainbow, and an impressive size, betokening its antiquity and power. The dragon snored softly, immersed in a deep slumber, yet even in sleep, one could sense the strength and power hidden within each of its scales.

Before the throne, kneeling humbly, stood an ambassador from the distant Rufral Empire. The man was dressed in luxurious silk robes, but his face expressed anxiety and uncertainty. His head was bowed low, barely touching the cold marble floor, and his fingers trembled with tension.

Ali's voice sounded cold and calm:
— Where did you come from?

The ambassador tried to gather his courage and speak clearly:
"I'm sent by Lady Tabiya from the Rufral Empire. She asks me to convey an important message to you..."

Ali frowned slightly, impatience evident in his gaze. The ambassador hastened to continue:
"...She declares that such a unique creature as your pearl dragon must soon choose a new master from among the members of the imperial family. If the dragon does not make a choice soon... the lady threatens to destroy it."

The hall was plunged into silence, broken only by the measured breathing of the dragon and the quiet whisper of the wind penetrating through the cracks in the windows.
