Raiden Tameemon is a character from the anime and manga series Record of Ragnarok (Shuumatsu no Valkyrie), who fights as humanity's representative in the fifth Ragnarok tournament against the Hindu god Shiva. Raiden is known as the strongest sumo wrestler in history and is distinguished by his muscular physique and power. Raiden Tameemon (雷電爲右エ門, Tameemon Raiden?) Born Tarokichi Seki, he was the fifth representative of humanity. He is recognized as the greatest sumo wrestler in history. He participated in the fifth round of Ragnarök, where he forged a Völundr with the Valkyrja Þrúðr, only to be defeated and killed by Shiva.

His interest in sumo wrestling began at the age of five, leading him to attend training sessions in this martial art. However, even with his muscles sealed, he was still much stronger than the average human. This caused him to accidentally injure his classmates because he didn't know how to control his strength, making all the children fear him and run away. This made Tarokichi depressed, as he saw himself as a monster. His mother comforted him, telling him that he was special because the gods had blessed him with extraordinary gifts and that he should use them to help others. Thus, he adopted a philosophy of protecting the weak and never using his strength against them, becoming recognized in his village as someone trustworthy and always willing to help. Some time later, the eruption of Mount Asama devastated several villages and caused a drastic change in the climate, making agriculture, on which the village where Tarokichi lived depended, impossible. When famine struck and he was only 17 years old, he left his village in search of a place to become a sumo wrestler, as his plan was to earn money fighting to send back to his village. Upon arriving at the sumo stable run by master Yohachi Urakaze, Tarokichi joined as just another student. However, he declared that he wouldn't use his full strength during training, as it could seriously injure everyone. His apparent arrogance annoyed the other sumo wrestlers, including Kajinosuke.

Tanikaze, who was present, decided to challenge the young man to a formal duel. Tarokichi initially refused, but Tanikaze persuaded him, saying that if he didn't defeat him, he would be expelled from the dojo, leading him to accept the fight. Once the duel began, the young man tried to charge at Kajinosuke, but Kajinosuke not only withstood the impact but also knocked him down with a single movement, instantly winning. Tarokichi kept getting up, but was slammed to the ground with each attempt. The young man was amazed by the power of sumo, and Kajinosuke decided to become his teacher. Thus, Tarokichi trained and perfected all the main movements of sumo. His enormous strength and the ease with which he won his matches caused him to become famous in a short time. He also sent the money he earned from each fight back to his village, which made him very popular and beloved in his hometown. Following his philosophy of helping the weak, he intentionally lost matches when facing rikishi who were afraid of being hurt by him. Each of his attacks was amplified, making him capable of destroying and disabling Shiva's arms. Superhuman Speed: Raiden proved to be incredibly agile in combat, landing the first blow in their battle and catching Shiva off guard. After removing the seal from his muscles, Raiden's speed increased dramatically, surprising Shiva and overwhelming him with a flurry of blows in an instant. By manipulating his muscles with the power of his völundr, Raiden is able to propel himself with even greater force by redirecting his strength into his legs, further increasing his acceleration and reach. Muscle control: Raiden gained absolute control over each of his muscles with the help of Þrúðr, being able to increase the size of his limbs and even redirect his strength from one muscle to another in a matter of seconds. However, the sudden and excessive use of this ability destroys Raiden's body due to the stress placed on his muscular system. Superhuman resistance: From a very early age Raiden possessed enormous resistance, as he was able to withstand the immense pain caused by his muscles crushing his bones.

During his battle against Shiva, he withstood numerous attacks from the god, as well as resisting burns caused by techniques such as the Krttivāsī kick and the Tāndava Karma. His body even withstood internal damage caused by his own ability to control his muscles. Expert martial artist: Raiden was known as the "Rikishi without equal" and as such is a master of sumo wrestling. In Hermes' words, his sumo techniques were what allowed him to make Shiva fight seriously and push himself to the limit. However, at the beginning of their fight, he used an unorthodox fighting style, as demonstrated by his use of a dropkick against Shiva. After Shiva performed his dance, Raiden focused solely on fighting with his sumo style.
