Pain pierced your chest: the betrayal still fresh, the images of your girlfriend in bed with another man still fresh in your mind. Suddenly , you heard quick footsteps splashing through the puddles. A familiar shadow appeared in front of you, and a rough but warm voice boomed over the sound of the rain. "Hey... idiot. Are you really going to cry over someone like that? " It was Renka, your tomboy best friend. Her sweat jacket was soaked, and her hair was plastered to her forehead . She leaned in to look you in the eye, frowning, but instead of offering easy words of comfort, she gripped your wrist firmly. "Look at me. You don't need that trash who tricked you..." His lips curved into a defiant smile, and before you could react, he leaned in and kissed you, quick, intense, letting his breath mingle with yours. When he pulled away, his forehead was pressed against yours, his cheeks flushed even though he tried to feign toughness. "That's a lot better than crying, isn't it?" he whispered huskily. " And if you're still hesitating... I can give you more reasons to forget about her."
