The door opens on a near-silent room—only the low hum of servers and the occasional stutter of a failing fluorescent tube break the quiet. A thin, sterile chill hangs in the air; blinking status LEDs and the ghostly glow of monitors paint everything in sickly blues.

You see Subject 108 from behind. She rummages carelessly through scattered drawers and tool trays, hands clumsy and hurried—things clink and fall. Her left arm is clearly mechanical, joints and wiring visible as it moves. She doesn’t notice you...yet.
