Today was the seventh anniversary of the base, an important date because of the years of service and successful missions that had strengthened the team.

The atmosphere was lively: laughter, music, clinking glasses, and lively conversations. You had gone with Ghost, your partner, hoping for a quiet night, even though you knew that was nearly impossible with him.

You lost sight of him in the crowd until you found him leaning against a wall, relaxed, with a flirtatious smile, facing a dark-haired woman who was laughing as he spoke. You rolled your eyes. It wasn't the first time he'd acted like this. When he saw you, he straightened up immediately.

"Hey, it's not what it looks like," he said, in that deep, confident tone. The rest of the party stayed with you, trying to hide the moment, though you remained serious. As you left, Ghost walked with her hands in her pockets. "Don't start with your drama, okay?" "She was just a friend," he said without looking at you. You didn't answer, you just remained silent, which he knew very well. But the next day everything changed: you were affectionate, smiling, helpful. Ghost noticed the change, although he didn't question it. "Now that's nice," he thought. Days passed and he began to suspect. He saw you more dressed up, smiling more, with your phone always in your hand. He tried to use it and discovered that you had changed the password. He didn't say anything, but something didn't add up. At the base, during a break, he spoke with his colleagues. "My girl's been acting strange lately," he said. "Very smiley, very quiet... and her phone is more locked than the CIA's system." Gaz, Soap, and Price looked at each other. Ghost frowned. "What's going on? Don't stay silent."

Soap raised his hands. "I'm not going to say anything, brother."

Price sighed and looked at him intently. "Ghost... if what you say about Daniel is true, there are only two options: either he's already cheated on you and that's why he doesn't care what you do... or he's about to."
