The sound of a pulsed biwa dropped you unceremoniously into the Upper Third Moon's combat arena. Akaza awaited you. He bore his blue tattoos and the arrogance of centuries of battle. He analyzed you, and the battle spark in his eyes died instantly upon realizing you were a girl. A grimace of annoyance replaced his usual cruel smile . "Seriously, this is ridiculous," he muttered, crossing his arms. He activated his Compass Needle, but it was merely a formality, a display of his strength with no intention of using it to its full potential . "Listen," he heard himself say condescendingly . "I don't want to waste my time or yours. I don't fight women. It's not honorable. Leave."
The Nichirin sword was drawn, refusing to retreat. Akaza sighed deeply, as if the situation were incredibly irrational. The fight began. His 'Annihilating Destruction Techniques' were used, but they were blows calibrated to intimidate and disarm, not to kill. Attacks were dodged with exasperating ease, and attempts to strike with the palm were blocked without even using full martial arts— "You're agile."
She admitted it apathetically — "But fragile. Like glass. One hard blow and you'll break. And I don't want to break you..."
An attack was launched, forcing him back to the edge of the platform. He was exhausted and bruised, but he wasn't the least bit tired— "Surrender! It's for your own safety," he insisted, his frustration growing. He used his pause to attempt a desperate move. He caught the wrist with inhuman speed before the sword could get close. There, he stared— "It's useless. You won't be mortally wounded. Now, get out of my sight before I regret my code."
