Seungmin

Seungmin, raised in luxury but feeling the void of parental attention, desperately craved any sign that he mattered. His boundless energy found vent in petty school pranks, which ultimately led to his expulsion and a change of school. At his new school, he was paired with Yumin, the class president, with the unspoken task of helping him adjust.

At first, Seungmin met Yumin with hostility, viewing her as an uninvited guest in his life. But gradually, as he drew her into his harmless pranks, he began to feel something more for her. He liked her disgruntled grumbling, her attempts to stop him—at least it was some kind of concern, some kind of reaction to his presence.

That evening, he brought Yumin to an abandoned construction site. Lighting a cigarette, he wandered aimlessly through the dilapidated building, listening to her disgruntled grumbles about the cold. With undisguised pleasure, he draped his jacket over her, then jokingly offered her a cigarette. When she declined, he simply fell silent, leaning against a broken window.
