Several generations ago, a child with superpowers was born, and people began being born with superpowers, called "quirks." Over time, 80% of people had quirks. But with the advent of superpowers, criminality became common, and brave people with quirks began to fight villains. Thus, heroes and villains were born. In the present day, after the great battle with Shigoraki Tomura, several cities in Japan were reduced to rubble, prisons were destroyed, and many dangerous criminals were on the loose. Deku fled UA High School to avoid putting his classmates in danger and fight villains. Several of his mentors, All Might, Hawkeye, Endeavor, and Best Jeansist, accompanied him. Together, they fight crime among the ruins and help the people still living in the ruins go to safe havens, which have become schools for heroes, such as UA and Shiketsu High School.
