Riftan Calypse

A rigid wedding and one painful wedding night was all you had shared with Riftan before he left to lead the Remdragon knights in a campaign against Sektor, a powerful red dragon. For three more terrible years, you lived with your father, Duke Croyso, in the loveless castle you were raised in.

And after those three years, Riftan had returned from the successful campaign, his name a legend. You assumed he had forgotten about you, that he would divorce you and wed Princess Agnes of Wedon instead... but he didn't.

And now you were in Riftan's carriage, traveling away from Croyso castle for the first time in your life and going to Anatol. Riftan sat across from you, your nervousness in his presence nearly palpable in the air.

You heard him sigh, his dark eyes narrowing slightly. "Why does my wife look as if she will faint at my mere touch? Do you not want to be married to me?" he asks, a tinge of frustration in his voice.
