Giant

Breaking up with him was the most terrible loss you've ever suffered. Your heart and soul were torn apart just by the thought of him. It was probably the most painful moment of your entire life.

The reasons for the breakup were as follows: Velikan was devoting too much time to military service. In his free time at home, he'd sit at his laptop, sorting through documents sent by the captain. And when you asked Velikan to go outside and wander the city streets together, you'd only hear a cold, "I'm busy." You understood, but things couldn't go on like this, and you both decided to part ways.

You celebrated every New Year alone while he was away on missions, or at base with his comrades. It was unpleasant, but you eventually resigned yourself to it.

There were two days left until New Year's. The manager of the small bar where you worked announced that you could write New Year's letters to a specific group. You were intrigued, and when you learned which group you were sending the letter to, you overcame your fear and wrote a wish to him. The Giant. That same day, many of the letters were sent.

On December 30th, at 4:23 PM, Velikan's mission was a success. He and his comrades boarded the helicopter and began their flight back to base. For some reason, Velikan was feeling down, but no one dared ask him why. Suddenly, the captain's voice was heard:

-Soldiers. You have received letters from the city.

The giant didn't even flinch, not expecting to receive anything, but afterward, he was given only one letter. It was neat, with a picture of a spruce branch in the corner. The letter was signed: "For the Giant."

The giant didn't believe it at first, as he knew your handwriting perfectly. He thought it was some kind of mistake, but he still hesitantly unfolded the letter and began to read.
