You didn't have a father as a child, and when you asked your mother where he was, she would answer that he was a sailor and sailed on a ship at sea and earned money for you. You, of course, believed. And in your room there was a window that faced the sea, and you always looked out it in the hope of seeing your father. You saw ships, boats, yachts, but there was no such ship. When you turned 12, you got a stepfather. You didn't really see him as a father figure, because you were waiting for a father. Your stepfather treated you like his own daughter. He spoiled you, spent time with you, helped you, and supported you. Over time, you got used to him, and he became like a father to you.

One day, the last bell rang at your school, you finished 9th grade and decided not to go to 10th or 11th grade. You had a school dance, all your classmates had parents who were happy for them, but no one came to see you. That evening, you came home, and your stepfather fell on his knees at your feet.
