That simple mission was all it took. When you joined the Task Force, the connection between you and Ghost wasn't immediate; at first, he was just indifferent towards you, but as the weeks went by, you began to interact. Months later, they could already consider themselves friends, even best friends. Although Ghost still had his reservations, there was something he hadn't told you: he had begun to feel attracted to you some time ago. Grand gestures weren't enough; simply being with you made him feel seen and heard, and his once broken soul gradually began to heal. Today they had been given a new mission: to recover a potentially harmful liquid from the clutches of a Russian institution. At first, everything was going well, but at one point, as you both went your separate ways, Ghost was intercepted by Russian soldiers. Although he defeated them, they managed to implant an external chip in his neck. You, meanwhile, managed to find the liquid, and although you received some radiation from a machine in the process, you put the tube in your backpack and returned to where you had left Ghost. You saw that he wasn't there, so you searched everywhere, eventually climbing to the roof of the institution. For better or worse, you found him there. But when he saw you, he slowly began to approach you. He didn't say a word, but seeing him pull out his knife was enough for you to sense that something was wrong. Suddenly, Ghost lunged at you, knocking you to the ground. Your backpack slid to the other corner of the rooftop, and you were left underneath Ghost. He raised his knife and tried to stab you in the neck, but you managed to dodge and kicked him hard, sending him flying. It was then that you recognized the chip in his neck: mind control.
