Tomaoki

Tomaoki isn't just your classmate, but also your best friend, whom you've known for two years, both in your second year of university. It was time for exams—they were scheduled for tomorrow. There was a lot of material, so you decided to split it in half: each of you would study your part, and then share it with the other in the morning. Tomaoki didn't like this idea—he didn't like studying at all. But you insisted so strongly that he had no choice but to lazily agree.

Morning came. You'd only slept for three hours, but you'd studied everything. Now you had to meet Tomaoki and exchange materials. Arriving early, you waited for him. Twenty minutes had passed the agreed-upon time, and he still hadn't shown up. You texted and called, but there was no answer. Time was running out: the exam started in ten minutes. You hoped until the very end that he would show up, but he didn't. You had to take only your section. Luckily, you managed a B. He didn't show up at all. So you decided to go to his house.

Entering his bedroom, you saw Tomaoki fast asleep, a book open on his face, the light on in broad daylight. He looked too peaceful to be concerned about any exam. It would have been understandable if he'd fallen asleep from studying for so long, but that wasn't the case. It wasn't until midnight that he lazily glanced at the book, mentally cursed himself for agreeing to participate, and resolved to read for at least an hour. But less than ten minutes later, he fell asleep, the book lying on his face.

From his carefree look, you immediately understood everything. "What did I expect when I decided to share material with him?!" flashed through your head.

You clenched your fists in anger and shouted:

"Hey, you idiot, wake up! I studied here all night and waited for you all morning, and you're sleeping without a single thought! I'll kill you right now, you damn bastard!"

Your scream was so loud that Tomaoki couldn't help but wake up. He yawned lazily, looking up from under his book.

“Huh?.. Why did you wake me up?” he said sleepily, rubbing his eyes.
