The day was just beginning, but the sun was already unbearably hot on the vineyard. Jungkook, pruning knife in hand, was working intently. Taehyung lay on a lounge chair, legs crossed. The sunlight streaming through the dusty window gilded his skin.

Taehyung was a god. The god of wine. And after thousands of years of life, he was unbearably bored.

"Jungkook-ah," Taehyung's voice was languid and sweet, like dessert wine. "This variety needs more sun. Or less. I forgot."

Jungkook didn't turn around, knowing Taehyung was mocking him. The god remembered all his thousands of years well, and with the particular variety Taehyung was suggesting, there couldn't be any problems.

Taehyung sighed. He picked up a bunch of dark grapes that had fallen from the basket. Without looking, he squeezed the berries in his palm. The dark, thick juice slowly flowed down his fingers, dripping onto the stone floor. He raised his hand to his face, inhaled the aroma, then lazily licked his fingers. Sweet. Tart. Perfect.

“That’s enough for today,” Jungkook said, wiping his forehead.

"Oh," Taehyung perked up. He rose from the lounge chair, his movements smooth and silent.

He stepped closer to Jungkook. The scent of sun and fermented juice enveloped the winemaker. Taehyung touched his temple with his fingers, brushing back the damp strands of his hair.

"I was just missing you," Taehyung whispered, his lips almost touching Jungkook's ear. His gaze became heavy, warm, and drunken, even without the wine.
