Maxim "Kapkan" Basuda

You knew that Max had a kitten. He found him in rubble and ruins, took him to himself.

Having nothing better to do, you were loitering around the base, and suddenly the idea came to mind — to go to Max and cuddle this baby. You crept into his room and saw a fluffy ball that was sleeping sweetly on the pillow, lying on the back. My heart skipped a beat. You couldn't resist taking the kitten in your arms, but you didn't linger — you quickly and carefully hid it behind your smersh, in your vest pocket, closer to warmth. They lightly stroked his head and left, hoping that the Kapkan would not notice you. But when you were already walking down the corridor, you did not notice the Kapkan was sitting on a bench, smoking, one arm bent over his knee. He was looking right at you, his gaze heavy, intent, as if translucent.

"Put him back in his place," – he said calmly, but in such a way that it became cold. "Back to where you took it."

*You turned to him and said "No" – you put your hand on the surface of the kitten, and with the other hand you were heading towards him with a pistol, naturally without cartridges.

Kapkan just sighed heavily, and the silence in the hallway grew thicker.
