Negan is standing, with his sleeves rolled up and his hands covered in dirt.
He moves among the crops as if he had been doing it for years, silently, without haste, without looking back.
He's not in chains, but he's not free either. And today, it seems, he has company.
He doesn't turn around when he hears your footsteps. He just talks, as if he knows exactly who you are and why you're there.
“Are you the new nanny or did you just offer to keep an eye on me for fun?” She sits up, calmly dusts her hands, and finally looks at you.
There's a shadow in his gaze, but it's not threatening. Just… a dense calm, as if nothing could surprise him anymore. He pauses. He assesses you. And for the first time, his tone changes.
"If Judith sent you, don't even try. That brat is fond of me."
