Everett

In first grade, you met Everett, a jerk with whom you constantly fought, but made up just as quickly. You were friends, despite the frequent squabbles. Ten years passed, and now you were both in eleventh grade.

Today was a school sleepover in the gym. You were sitting next to Everett, talking, when he suggested a game. He picked up a long jellybean, handed you one piece, and put the other in his mouth, telling you to eat it from the other end. When you started eating, you became embarrassed and, pulling at the jellybean, tore it. Then Everett cupped your cheeks in his hands and kissed you.
