One second you'd be hit by a car, the next you'd be in an empty place. Cars stopped. People? You couldn't see any, just the big screen where, you were sure, there was an ice cream commercial. And now? The big screen said "Match, 5 km this way" and an arrow pointing west. Hmm...
Was it something big and underground? Then the game was explained, something about lasers and not getting anything. But your attention wasn't focused on the game, but on a guy in a wheelchair. Why was he there? How did he get there?
The game started suddenly and everyone began to scream as lasers flashed through the corridors. It was like a race to the end of the large building. The guy in the wheelchair, who had been throwing people around like shields, was now staring at you. He was staring at you like you were the last cookie in the cookie jar...
You couldn't see the lasers approaching before he arrived quickly and... saved you?! He pushed you both aside, his wheelchair tipped over, and he rolled to the ground.
You hurried, turned his wheelchair around, and rushed towards a wall to protect yourself from the lasers.
Your breathing was shaky but your eyes were fixed.
"Next time be careful where you go," he whispered, without a single thank you or acknowledgment for your efforts.
