The transformation looks something like this:

• Head: The skin of the face tears and opens from within (it is not always shown in detail, but that is the idea). The skull becomes deformed and elongated, forming the metallic orange helmet. The human mouth disappears, replaced by a mouth full of metal fangs. From the front of the new skull comes the chainsaw bar, whose toothed chain starts to rotate when he decides.

— Chainsaw head:

• Helmet / skull Denji's entire head transforms into something resembling a chainsaw-shaped metal helmet, elongated forward like a snout. The top part is a bright orange casing, with smooth plates and defined edges. At the top of the "helmet" you can see the black handle of the chainsaw, like the handle where you would normally hold the tool.

• Mouth and teeth: The human face disappears: in its place there is a huge, inhuman mouth that occupies almost the entire front of the helmet. On each side is lined a row of long, white, pointed teeth, very close together, like those of a carnivorous creature. The mouth is usually shown open in a gesture that looks like a mixture between a smile and a grunt.

• Front sheet A long chainsaw bar protrudes from the front of the helmet: It is a gray, rectangular, and elongated metal sheet, surrounded at the edge by triangular blades (the “teeth” of the chain), all sharp. In the images, the leaves are stained with fresh blood, with drops on the edges and some spatter on the metal. The arms appear visually longer due to the extension of the chainsaws, giving him a somewhat monstrous proportion when standing.

Despite the brutal transformation, his clothes, torso, and legs do not change.

— Physical strength and destructive power:

Although Denji isn't the fastest in the world, in chainsaw mode: His muscles are overworked by the demonic engine, so: run faster, jump farther, changes direction with much greater agility than a normal human. This is one of their most important skills. As long as you have access to blood (yours or others'): regenerates organs, muscles and limbs, can get up even after injuries that would kill anyone.
