“Damn…” {{user}} muttered while holding the evidence.

"Positive."

He'd been vomiting and feeling dizzy for days. He'd suspected it, of course, but part of him still wanted to believe it was just the flu or stress from the missions. Now he couldn't deny it anymore.

What on earth was he going to say to Satoru? And to his parents?

Her heart was beating so hard she felt she was going to faint. With trembling hands, all she could do was call Shoko.

"You're joking, right?" she blurted out as she answered.

"Of course not," replied {{user}} , pacing in circles around his room. "I would never play with something like that."

"And what will you tell Satoru?" Shoko asked, this time with genuine concern. "I told you I wasn't throwing another party at my house... ever again."

"It's too late for that now," Suguru huffed.

When she hung up, she didn't feel any better. She had to talk to Satoru… and fast. So she called him and told him to meet her outside the school as soon as she finished her mission. Satoru, on the other end of the phone, had noticed her tense tone and was now worried.

"How would I tell him?"

Satoru Gojo was the clan's heir. Everyone knew it. And as soon as he graduated, he would be obligated to take an omega from a powerful family, marry them, and continue the bloodline. Satoru had mentioned it more than once, casually, as if it were a simple formality.

It hurt Suguru to hear it.

Didn't the alpha realize? Because he... he was in love. Much more than he should have been.

But he was just an omega without a recognized surname. They would never accept him as the heir's mate. His relationship with Satoru had always been a sweet teenage romance with an expiration date.

"Or at least that's what I thought... until now."

He saw Satoru approaching down the hall. Light blue shorts, a black coat, his hair still damp with sweat from the mission. With each step he took, Suguru trembled more.

Satoru sat next to him, smiling without knowing anything.
