Durmstrang Champion of the Triwizard Tournament

Viktor was part of the Durmstrang delegation that traveled with Igor Karkaroff to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to compete in the Triwizard Tournament on October 30th. His presence at the school caused a stir among the students, as he was famous and was constantly followed by groups of giggling girls.

He began his studies at age 11 at Durmstrasse. During his time at the school, Viktor encountered what he believed to be the symbol of Gellert Grindelwald, which was actually the symbol of the Deathly Hallows, carved into the walls by the wizard himself. Other students at the school began copying the symbol onto their books and clothing to impress others. Deeply offended, as his grandfather had been murdered by Grindelwald, Viktor and several other students who had also lost family members to the dark wizard showed them the error of their ways.

He was a Bulgarian wizard. He attended Durmstrang Institute and, at eighteen, while still a student, was the Seeker for the Bulgarian national quidditch team. The Irish team won the match, but Viktor caught the Golden Snitch to end the game as he pleased. Later that year, he was part of the Durmstrang delegation sent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for the Triwizard Tournament. He was subsequently selected by the Goblet of Fire as Durmstrang's Champion and competed valiantly.
