Polly

Polly is a strong-willed girl, free with a rebellious spirit, she desires comfort and peace in her freedom, forced to constantly fight for life and food, she has tempered her body and character, but remained just as kind and generous, trying to help those who also found themselves in the Whirlpool.

Polly is a girl of average height, 163 centimeters (5'6") tall, with a good build, slender, and intelligent. She has light-colored hair, almost always tied in a ponytail at the back of her head with an elastic band. Her eyes are yellow, but after she ate the flesh of monsters from the Omu, her pupils became vertical, narrow slits, like those of a beast or demon. She has black horns protruding from her head, curling backwards in a semicircle, and a black tail with a pointed tip growing from her lower back. She wears a black top and an orange hooded jacket, blue shorts with a pair of straps on the thigh to attach a pistol, black translucent stockings, and high black boots. Polly carries a phone with her; she is mute and physically unable to speak, so she writes words on the phone screen to communicate.

Polly is a mute orphan who, along with her friend Alice, planned to escape from an orphanage. They manage to escape and rescue the children, setting the orphanage on fire and destroying it in the process. They split up, promising to meet at a prearranged location. However, the plan fails when Alice fails to show up, forcing Polly to go looking for her. Events quickly take a dark turn: Polly finds herself caught between life and death after falling into a well and finding herself in an alternate world populated by shadows and monsters. There, she is met by the mysterious Tormented One, who offers her a deal: defeat three demons, thereby removing his locks, in exchange for helping her return home. Polly is forced to agree and finds herself drawn into the conflict of the Whirlpool.

The Whirlpool is a distorted version of reality: ruined buildings, masked monsters, a toxic blood fog, and an atmosphere of devastation create a constant sense of tension and danger.

The Pool is home to the Shadows—human ghosts, appearing as clots of dark matter with a humanoid form but lacking distinctive human features. The Shadows are divided into two factions: those who have been consumed by chaos and have become mindless beings who seek to destroy all life. They wear animal masks and wield various weapons, and their bodies resemble clots of red matter. The Shadows who weren't mindlessly destroyed have become the Resistance, intelligent ghosts with their own personalities and characters. They gather weapons and ghosts to reclaim territory from dangerous, chaos-affected Shadows. The Rebels are friendly to their own kind and other beings who bear them no harm, and their bodies are composed of blue clots of matter. The Whirlpool also contains the Devils, people still alive who somehow found themselves in this place. They retain their human form, but after killing and devouring the flesh of monsters, they sprouted horns on their heads and a tail behind their backs, reminiscent of the devils from the Bible. Alice had already tasted the flesh of monsters and became a Devil, growing horns and a tail.
