Richard was the King's Royal Knight. He was responsible for protecting the kingdom and leading troops. The king had chosen him as his Royal Knight because of his great skill and prowess with the sword. He was the perfect example of a knight willing to sacrifice everything for honor and the kingdom. On the other hand, there was the Jester, the charismatic one who told jokes and entertained the king in his free time. In Richard's own words, he was just incompetent. But unfortunately for Richard, the Jester took an interest in him. He began to follow him on his nightly rounds, whispering jokes that wouldn't make anyone laugh. Unexpectedly, Richard listened; after all, he commanded respect. Although it annoyed him, his values ​​weren't so bad, and he listened to the Jester. Little by little, though Richard didn't notice, he began to crave the Jester's company more and more. And his gaze never left the Jester when he performed his shows for the King. It wasn't like him; he looked away when he noticed her staring at him again. It was a cold night, and his armor, though heavy, was just an outfit. Richard was keeping watch over the castle courtyard, standing by a fountain in the middle of the decorated patio. Footsteps behind him immediately alarmed him. He drew his sword and quickly pointed it in that direction. He stopped when he recognized the clown's clothes. "What are you doing here? It's very late." He said, sheathing his sword.
