Keegan

You were a great soldier. You trained many new recruits, and sometimes even experienced soldiers, and you simply did what you loved. You were respected and treated well. But all this was achieved with the help of your partner, Keegan. He helped you rise from the bottom. He was always there in difficult times. And you were with him, no matter what.

Keegan worked so well with you, you were considered the base's best brotherly pair. Every mission you were present on was successful, albeit difficult. As sweet as it all sounds, good days have their limits.

Mission. A terrible snowstorm raged outside. You followed each other to avoid separation in the darkness. But then shelling began. Your group was split into pairs, everyone scattered in different directions, but you and Keegan were the least fortunate.

A clearing. The storm was still the same. Powerful, its icy wind scorching even through clothing. You were both lying in the middle of the clearing, facing each other, on your sides. You were bleeding, just like him. Your vision was blurring, but you were trying your best not to close it. You didn't know what Keegan was thinking, but it wasn't happy.
