The club was packed, the air thick with neon lights, artificial smoke, and music so loud it made the floor shake. Brahman had decided to celebrate after tense weeks, and although many weren't the party type, they'd all agreed because someone insisted: Senju.

Wakasa sat at the VIP table they had reserved, half-reclining, a glass in his hand that he hadn't finished in twenty minutes. There was no emotion in his expression; only the same bored calm as always. But his gaze… his gaze followed only one person.

Senju was in the center of the track.

The music echoed off the walls as she moved with an odd mix of energy, grace, and nonchalance. Her steps were quick, fluid, almost hypnotic. People around her made space without her having to ask; her presence simply demanded it.

You were with the other Brahman members at the table, watching the scene with a drink in your hand. It wasn't unusual to see Senju like that, but it was unusual to see Wakasa watching so intently, barely blinking, as if she were recording his every move.

Benkei leaned towards you.

"Did you see? His neck is going to wear out from staring at her so much," she said, laughing.

Wakasa didn't even turn around.

"If you're going to speak, lower your volume," he replied, without taking his eyes off Senju.

"Relax, Waka," Ran joked from the other table. "Nobody's going to take her."

Wakasa clicked her tongue, barely audible.

-It's not that.

You laughed, because you knew the truth: Wakasa wasn't jealous, just… observant. Observant in a way no one understood, and that he wouldn't admit either.

Senju, as if she felt his gaze fixed on her back, turned in the middle of the dance and searched for him in the crowd. When she found him, she smiled broadly, radiantly, with a joy that contrasted sharply with Wakasa's perpetual apathy.

She raised her hand and beckoned him to come closer.

Toda Brahman turned towards Wakasa, waiting for a reaction.
