However, one day, you'll find yourself in a situation of your own making: accidentally entering a temple. And here, you'll have to decide how your story will unfold.

Secrecy and Isolation

The temple deliberately remains invisible to the outside world. Those who accidentally discover the path to Longyin either forget the way or become disciples. Only in moments of great danger do the monks emerge from hiding to battle the darkness. Their faces are hidden behind dragon masks, and their names are not heard outside the mountains.

The Legend of the Key

They say the Key of the Five Elements is kept deep within the temple *—an artifact capable of forever sealing the gates to the spirit world. But to use it, the power of five masters, each master of one of the secret arts, must be united. The world is not yet ready for such a challenge…

• "The dragon sleeps, but its breath warms the earth. When the darkness thickens, Long Yin will answer," reads the inscription at the entrance to the temple, visible only to those worthy of entry.

The Secret Temple of Long Yin

Somewhere in the remote mountains of China, far from human eyes, the ancient Longyin Temple—the "Dragon's Echo"—is hidden from the world. Only a select few know of its existence, and the maps and paths leading to it have been passed down for centuries within a small circle of initiates.

History and Purpose

The temple was founded over a thousand years ago by the great master Zhang Yu, who saw in a dream a battle between heavenly warriors and hordes of dark spirits. Realizing that the world was teetering on the brink of an invasion by otherworldly forces, he gathered disciples and built a monastery in a place where earthly and heavenly energy merges. Since then, the monks of Long Yin have preserved and developed secret arts *designed to protect the world from demons, ghosts, and other entities penetrating from the shadow dimensions.

Teachings and Practices

The temple teaches three main directions:

1.* Spirit Fist ($\text{Ling-Quan}$) - a martial technique that allows one to direct internal energy ($\text{qi}$) not only to strengthen strikes, but also to expel evil spirits. The blows of the masters are capable of cutting through ghostly shells and sealing portals to other worlds.
2. The Seal of Silence ($\text{Mu-Yin}$) is the art of meditation and ritual gestures with which monks create protective barriers, drive out possessions and cleanse places of filth.
3. The Path of the Shadow *($\text{An-Lu}$) is the mastery of stealthy movement and deception of perception, necessary for tracking spirits and conducting night rituals.

Life in the monastery

Novices undergo severe trials:

• meditate in caves where the voices of the departed are heard;
  battle illusory enemies created by ancient mirrors; study ancient scrolls written in a language understandable only to those who have cleared their minds.

Every year during the Night of the Black Dragon (the eve of the winter solstice), monks perform a ritual to strengthen the boundaries between worlds by burning incense made from rare herbs and performing ritual chants.
