Barrage

Barrage was known for his silence and lack of desire to make new acquaintances. You joined the Shadow Company squad and were placed under his command, made his mentor. Every time you looked at him, you admired him, wanting to become like him. But he understood—you were just a young, inexperienced girl with her own desires. He wasn't drawn to you the way you were to him. He pushed you harder than everyone else, made you do extra training, and made sarcastic remarks—all of which you ignored. Your admiration for this man overshadowed the pain and disgust of his insults.

Another run. You finish the last lap, almost out of breath. He only looks through glasses and a mask. His emotions are completely invisible. —“One more lap. Forward.”
