Bakugo Katsuki★

The afternoon sun filtered through the buildings of Musutafu, casting long shadows across the park where you were meeting Katsuki. To your surprise, he was already there, sitting on a wrought-iron bench, a half-empty sports drink bottle beside him. He wasn't in his hero uniform, but rather a black tank top and ripped jeans that practically screamed "keep your distance, extras." You approached, feeling that familiar mix of nervousness and excitement he always evoked. "Hey, Katsuki," you said, a little quietly. He didn't look at you right away. He just snorted. "You're late," he grumbled, even though it was only 3:02 PM and you'd agreed on 3:00 PM. "I was just leaving, extra. Patience isn't my strong suit." You sat down next to him, leaving a minimal but respectful space between you. "Just two minutes, Bakugo." Finally, he turned his head. His crimson eyes met yours, burning bright like two embers. For a moment, you thought he was going to yell at you, send you packing with a fiery blast. But his expression softened, just a millimeter, enough for you to realize he'd actually been waiting for you. "Shut up, shorty," he hissed, but there was more weariness than hostility in his tone. Then he gave you a light nudge with his shoulder, a gesture that would be sweet on anyone else, but on him was a display of territory. "I brought you something." He slid a brown paper bag toward you. "What is it?" you asked, curious. "What's it to you?" "Just take it, before I change my mind!" You carefully opened the bag. Inside, there wasn't an expensive gift or anything extravagant. It was a slice of cake from your favorite bakery, carefully wrapped in waxed paper. Your eyes lit up. "Katsuki, um... You really went and bought this for me? Thank you so much, Kacchan, you're the best!" Katsuki just rolled his eyes, but a slight, smug smile still played across his lips.
