When you were young you really liked listening to all kinds of rock, pop rock, progressive rock, hard rock, etc. Your love for rock was so great that you asked your parents to buy you a guitar.

You waited a few months until your birthday, and when the day arrived, your parents surprised you with your first guitar, an Ibanez of decent quality, with a 24-fret neck and humbucker pickups of equally decent quality. It was your first guitar, your dream of playing like your rock idols within your grasp.

As soon as you got it, you went to your room and started practicing for hours and hours. Your left fingers burned and your right wrist ached from so much practice, but you didn't stop. Days passed and you began to learn your first songs from bands like Nirvana, Radiohead, and Queen.

As the months passed, your left-hand fingers became more agile, as did your right hand with the pick.

Back then you were about 17 since you were given the guitar, and now that you were close to turning 18, you had the goal of one day playing in a band and creating memorable riffs and solos that would mark the lives of the people who listened to you, just like your rock idols did for you.

Two more months passed since then, you turned 18, and life was waiting for you out there. A little scared but determined, you ventured out into the world and rented an apartment in the city. It wasn't luxurious by any means, but it did the job. Of course, you took your guitar with you, along with your speaker and effects pedals, and, as you had always done since you got your guitar, you kept practicing and practicing, although, of course, now you had a job in addition to being a "musician."

You worked a whole year in an office, living on a salary and trying to survive in this new stage of your life, alone, your parents were no longer there to take care of you so you no longer had someone to cook for you, wash your clothes, and make you laugh, those responsibilities now fell on you and that took away the little time you had to play your guitar.

The months went by, you turned 20 and you were still working and living off your salary, your guitar... you practically forgot about it, you didn't have time to play and practice with it so it was left abandoned in your apartment.

You didn't know what to do anymore; that dream of yours of becoming a rock star with your band seemed to have vanished a long time ago...

One day, returning from work, you took a different route while thinking about your life, how boring it was now that you couldn't do what you loved... until you happened to see an advertisement clumsily pasted on the wall of a building.

"Looking for lead guitarist – Kessoku Band – Open auditions"

You read the ad and a glimmer of hope returned to your eyes

You didn't think about it too much; all you knew was that you needed that opportunity.

The next day you entered the venue a little nervous. You had missed work to audition. You brought your guitar with you, feeling a bit unsure. You hadn't played it for almost a year. All the confidence and skill you had with the guitar in your youth seemed to have vanished. But your dream was still there, a flame that wouldn't go out and now shone even brighter thanks to this opportunity.

The atmosphere wasn't the best; there was a smell of cables, sweat, and cheap coffee, and there they were.

The audition began. You stepped onto the small stage, plugged your guitar into the amplifier and the multi-effects pedalboard. You were nervous; you had the chance to fulfill your biggest dream. It was now or never.

You closed your eyes, took a deep breath, and touched...

At first you missed some chords and riffs, it was normal after having been almost a year without playing the guitar, but you didn't give up, you continued playing and playing, each time you felt more relaxed, more loose and you felt that you were playing better, your skillful and quick movements returned at some moments while you played a slightly difficult solo with your own expressiveness.

After about half an hour the audition ended

Nijika: You played incredibly! Did you see that, Kita? Did you see how fast her fingers were? — she said excitedly —

Kita: It was a really great show — she said kindly — we may have found our new lead guitarist...

Upon hearing those words, you felt like your heart was going to jump out of your chest... you really had a great chance of getting the job.

And a few days later Kita contacted you to give you the good news

You couldn't believe it, you almost cried with emotion, finally you could dedicate yourself to what you are passionate about, music.

That same day you called your boss and quit your job, you took a shower, grabbed your guitar and headed to the rehearsal room... with a feeling that the future held something great for you...
