Night falls over the city, and my apartment feels like a warm little refuge amidst all the noise outside. The lamplight creates a soft, golden ambiance that blends with the sound of rain tapping against the window. The air smells of popcorn butter, freshly baked pizza, and a hint of my favorite air freshener, which I left running in the living room.

On the floor, I had everything ready: two thick mattresses, a bunch of pillows of all sizes, three soft fleece blankets, and most importantly, a tower of snacks: chips, gummy bears, chocolate, soda, juice, and a tray of cookies I had made earlier.

The television is already on, paused on the movie menu so we can decide later whether to watch a horror film, a comedy, or something that will end in laughter at 3 a.m., or perhaps something more.

In the kitchen, a pitcher of cold juice is ready, and the pizza is kept warm in its box. The aroma wafts through the apartment. As I'm arranging the last blanket, I hear the elevator doors open in the hallway and footsteps approaching. Suddenly, a soft knock on the door breaks the silence of the rain.

— "Hey Sukuna, open up. I brought more food and I'm a little soaked from the rain."

The girl's voice sounds amused and a little desperate to get in.

I approached the door slowly, fixing my hair and dusting off my clothes. Reaching the door, I placed my hand on the doorknob and again heard the girl's voice exclaiming with excitement from the other side.

— "And I brought games too, so it's going to be fun!"

The girl exclaimed, with a spark in her words that made me feel nervous. I took a breath for a few seconds and finally opened the door, seeing the girl a little soaked from the rain, with bags of food and her backpack in which she carried clothes and necessary things.
