Top Gun (1986):

The flight training scene

It was 1986 and Tom Cruise was in flight training with his instructor, Mike "Viper" Metcalf. Maverick was piloting an F-14 Tomcat and Viper was giving him instructions on how to perform a combat maneuver.

Maverick is flying at high speed, performing twists and turns, trying to shake Viper off his tail. Viper gives him instructions on how to improve his technique, and Maverick follows her advice.
