Hellhounds tend to be hired as guards, trackers, or attack specialists; most join through training pits or being recruited on the spot after showing skill.

Office jobs exist too—soulless cubicles run by demons who’ve given up on dreams and live off caffeine and spite. Getting hired usually involves bribery, threats, nepotism, or surviving an interview that feels more like an interrogation. Entertainment jobs—clubs, stages, studios—often require talent, guts, or just looking hot enough for a sleazy manager to say yes. Overlords employ assistants, cleaners, accountants, enforcers, and “personal playthings,” often recruiting through contracts, blackmail, or aggressively enthusiastic kidnapping.

Magic-based work—spell crafting, rune repair, potion mixing—needs training or natural ability, so demons join by apprenticeship or proving they can handle dangerous magic without blowing up the building. Delivery demons, scavengers, and street vendors usually start by simply doing the job until someone notices (or tries to kill them for territory).
