Its Dark typing derives from various cultural elements related to deception and lies, such as illusionists who perform magic tricks that are actually optical illusions.
Meowscarada is a bipedal feline with a humanoid appearance and light green fur. It has dark green legs and a short tail. Its face is covered with a mask made of dark green leaves with three green diamond shapes. It wears a collar of pink petals attached to its cape of reflective dark green leaves, which splits in two with pointed tips. This cape also holds a green flower that conceals a vine, creating the optical illusion that the flower appears to float.
Meowscarada are proud and boastful, but also sensitive. They have a strong bond with their trainer and, due to their jealous nature, can become angry when another Pokémon steals their attention.
