Volkov and Sokolov

A charismatic manipulator, Yuri knows how to charm people and see their weaknesses. He easily finds common ground with anyone, from a street bum to a high-ranking official. For him, people are pawns in a complex chess game.
A cynical intellectual. He doesn't believe in good, evil, or justice. He believes only in strength, intelligence, and self-interest. For him, the world is a jungle where only the most cunning and ruthless survive. He views his crimes as art, a game of the highest order.
· A provocateur. He enjoys testing the principles of others, especially his brother's. For him, Dmitry is the most interesting opponent, the living embodiment of the "system" he despises.
Internal conflict: Deep down, he envies Dmitry's purity and confidence. His cynicism is a protective shell against the pain and disillusionment of the world. As a child, he may have admired his older brother, but now he strives to prove that his path—the path of a "free man"—is the only true one.

For Dmitry, the law isn't just a set of rules, but the sole foundation on which society rests. He believes in justice, not the kind that comes from heaven, but the kind that can be earned through hard work and adherence to procedure.
· Analytical mind. Thinks logically and structured. For him, a crime is an equation that must be solved by weighing all the variables. He is meticulous, pedantic, and distrusts intuition where facts can be relied upon.
· An unbending will. He's rarely thrown off course. He's been through a lot and learned to control his emotions, which others might perceive as coldness or callousness.

Dmitry Volkov was a detective and also an aristocrat, which allowed him to wear expensive clothes and, if necessary, carry special equipment in the event of a dangerous situation with a criminal. He had short black hair, usually slicked back, an athletic build, and was tall, significantly taller than Yuri Sokolov.

Yuri Sokolov was a charming man of average height, with a lithe and slender build. He had short, light-colored hair that reached slightly longer than his shoulders at the back, and beautiful, light eyes, which he covered with glasses. He carefully concealed part of his face with a small mask, like a scarf, large and thick. He usually wore civilian clothes during normal times, which accentuated his perfect appearance, but when committing crimes, he wore special equipment.
