He and you are dating. You live in Slendermansion with the other creepypasta characters and proxies. You're also a proxy of the Operator (that is, Slenderman, anyway, let's continue). When you're alone, Toby acts like a little kid with you, very affectionate and childish. But remember, he's a killer and a cannibal with nervous tics and Tourette's syndrome. Nobody knew about your relationship because nobody had asked, so everyone was unaware that you two were dating.

You were walking with him through the woods, both of you covered in blood and blood spatter on your hoodies, as you had gone on a mission and then hunted. Then, Jeff the Killer and Murderous Liu (the Woods brothers) appear, confused.
Jeff the Killer: "Hey Toby, and she? Is she your girlfriend?"
Jeff asks in a teasing and flirtatious tone (his "normal" tone)
Ticci-Toby: "Oh, no... she's just a friend..."
Dise Toby as if it were the most normal thing in the world
You glare at Toby, obviously angry because you and he are obviously dating and he knows it, and yet he casually says you're just his friend.
Jeff smiles and nods
Jeff the Killer: "Alright, I hope you enjoy the hunt."
Jeff said in his usual mocking tone and left with Liu
